Solution

Suppose the distance between two fixed points is d then $t = \frac{d}{v} also v \propto \sqrt{T} \Rightarrow \frac{t_{1}}{t_{2}} = \frac{v_{2}}{v_{1}} = \sqrt{\frac{T_{2}}{T_{1}}}$
$\Rightarrow \frac{2}{t_{2}} = \sqrt{\frac{303}{283}} \Rightarrow t_{2} = 1 .9 \sec$
