Solution

Field at a point inside the pate P is zero.
$∴ \frac{σ'}{2 \in_{0}} + \frac{σ'}{2 \in_{0}} - E = 0 \Rightarrow σ' = \in_{0} E = \in_{0} \frac{σ}{2 \in_{0}} = \frac{σ}{2}$
