A man of mass 60kg is standing on a platform of mass 20kg suspended with the help of rope pulley arrangement as shown in figure. If he pulls the rope and applies 400N force on the platform then acceleration of the system will be (use g=10m/s²)

$\begin{array}{l} Taking man+ platform as a system \\ 3 T - 80 g = 80 a \\ \Rightarrow 3 \times 400 - 800 = 80 a \end{array}$
$\Rightarrow a = 5 m s^{- 2}$
