A mass m is rest on an inclined plane of mass M which is further resting on a smooth horizontal plane. Now if the mass starts moving the position of C.M. of mass of system will:

Solution

The mass move under the influence of gravitational pull which acts along the vertical. Thus CM changes along vertical while it remains unchanged in the horizontal direction.
