The metallic ring shown in figure is suspended by an insulated thread and a bar magnet is held stationary inside the ring. If the magnet is quickly taken out of the ring to the right, then

Solution

Clockwise current (as viewed from left) will be induced in the ring. As result the left face of the ring will behave like a south pole and the right face will behave like a north pole. So the net magnetic force on the ring will point in the right and the ring will swing to the right.
