Solution

Moment of inertia of a disc about a parallel axes,
$I = I_{v} + m d^{2} = \frac{m R^{2}}{4} + m d^{2} (∵ a = R and d = R / 2)$
$\Rightarrow$ Moment of inertia,
$I = \frac{m R^{2}}{2} = \frac{100}{2} = 50 k g - m^{2}$
