If current through $6 Ω$ resistor is i,
Then $i^{2} \times 6 = 24 \Rightarrow i = 2 A .$
The upper branch and lower branch of the circuit have the same resistance $(2 + 4) Ω i . e ., 6 Ω$
Therefore current through each branch is 1A.
$∴ V_{P} + 2 \times 1 - 4 \times 1 = V_{Q} \Rightarrow V_{P} - V_{Q} = 4 - 2 = 2 v o l t .$
