$I f 2 % e l e c t r o n s a r e l o s t i n b a s e, t h e n 98 % g o e s t o c o l l e c t o r . H e n c e, I_{C} = 98 % o f I_{E} = 0.98 \times I_{E} ∴ C u r r e n t t r a n s f e r r a t i o = \frac{I_{C}}{I_{E}} = 0.98$
