Given, mass, m₁ = m₂
Velocity, u₁ = v₁ and u₂ = 0
Foe elastic collision, $v_{2} = (\frac{m_{2} - m_{1}}{m_{1} + m_{2}}) u_{2} + \frac{2 m_{1} u_{1}}{m_{1} + m_{2}}$
After putting the given values, we get
$v_{2} = \frac{2 m_{1} v_{1}}{2 m_{1}} \Rightarrow v_{2} = v_{1}$
