Solution

$(a). K . E . = E = \frac{1}{2} m v^{2} = p^{2} / 2 m E_{1} = \frac{p^{2}}{2 m_{1}} and E_{2} = \frac{p^{2}}{2 m_{2}} ∴ \frac{E_{1}}{E_{2}} = \frac{m_{2}}{m_{1}} or E_{1} < E_{2}$
