A particle moves in a plane with uniform acceleration having direction different from that of the instantaneous velocity. What is the nature of trajectory?

It is only in case of parabolic motion that the direction and magnitude of the acceleration remains same. In uniform circular motion, though magnitude of acceleration remains constant but direction changes from moment to moment.
