Given that initial velocity $u = 5 m / s$
Acceleration $a = 2 m / s^{2}$
$n = 3$
The distance travelled in nth sec is $S_{n} = u + a (n - \frac{1}{2})$
$\begin{array}{l} = 5 + 2 (3 - \frac{1}{2}) \\ = 5 + 2 (\frac{5}{2}) \\ = 10 m / s \end{array}$
