$\frac{1}{u} + \frac{1}{v} = \frac{1}{f}; \frac{1}{(12)} + \frac{1}{(- 3)} = \frac{1}{f} ∴ f = - 4 m; P = \frac{- 1}{4} = - 0.25 D$
