Velocity of light in vaccum, $c = \frac{1}{\sqrt{μ_{0} ε_{0}}}$
$∴$ Refractive index $\begin{array}{l} \frac{c}{v} = \sqrt{\frac{μ}{μ_{0}} \times \frac{ε}{ε_{0}}} = \sqrt{μ_{r} ε_{r}} = \sqrt{1 .6 \times 1 .8} \\ = \sqrt{2 .88} ≃ 1 .7 \end{array}$
