Spacing between two consecutive wavefronts represents wavelength of a wave.
$H e n c e, λ_{1} = 2 m a n d λ_{2} = 1 m A l s o, r e f r a c t i v e i n d e x, μ = \frac{c}{f λ} I n r e f r a c t i o n s p e e d o f l i g h t c a n d f r e q u e n c y f d o e s n' t c h a n g e . ∴ μ \propto λ \Rightarrow \frac{μ_{2}}{μ_{1}} = \frac{λ_{1}}{λ_{2}} \Rightarrow \frac{μ_{2}}{1} = \frac{2}{1} \Rightarrow μ_{2} = 2$
