Solution

When the dielectric slab is introduced
Hence to maintain the same potential difference, the plates should be increased by
$\begin{array}{l} t (1 - \frac{1}{K}) = d^{'} \\ 2 (1 - \frac{1}{K}) = 1 \cdot 6 \end{array}$
Solving, we get K = 5
