Solution

$\begin{array}{l} Given y (t) = 3 t^{2} + 2 t + 4 \\ y (0) = 0 + 0 + 4 = 4 m \\ y (2) = 3 (2)^{2} + 2 (2) + 4 = 12 + 4 + 4 = 20 m \\ ∴ averagevelocity V = \frac{y (2) - y (0)}{t_{2} - t_{1}} \\ = \frac{20 - 4}{2 - 0} \\ = \frac{16}{2} = 8 m / s \end{array}$
