Solution

Here $V = i_{g} G$ ………….(1)
and $nV = i_{g} (G + R)$ ……(2)
Dividing, we get
$n = \frac{G + R}{G} = 1 + \frac{R}{G}$
or $(n - 1) = \frac{R}{G}$
$∴ R = (n - 1) G$
