In a series LCR circuit $C = 20 μF$ and angular frequency of supply voltage is $ω$ = 100 rad/s. What is the value of L in henry if current in the circuit is maximum?

Solution

Since the current is maximum means the circuit is in resonance.
The resonating frequency is $ω = \frac{1}{\sqrt{L C}}$
$\Rightarrow L = \frac{1}{ω^{2} C} = \frac{1}{10^{4} x 20 x 10^{- 6}}$
$\Rightarrow L = \frac{100}{20} = 5 H$
