If acceleration of M is 2 m s^-2, then acceleration of m w.r.t. M will be 2 ms^-2

Acceleration of m w.r.t. ground
$a_{m} = \sqrt{2^{2} + 2^{2} + 2 \times 2 \times 2 \cos (180 - 37^{\circ})} = \sqrt{8 / 5} {ms}^{- 2}$
