Solution

Here, $g^{'} = g {(\frac{R}{R + R})}^{2} = \frac{g}{4}$
We know that $T \propto 1 / \sqrt{g}$
$∴ \frac{T_{2}}{T_{1}} = \sqrt{(\frac{g}{g / 4})} = 2$
