Solution

For a uniformly charged solid non-conducting sphere, $V = \frac{V_{S}}{2} (3 - \frac{γ^{2}}{R^{2}}) for γ \leq R$ and $V = V_{S} . \frac{R}{γ} for γ \geq R$ where $V_{S}$ is the potential at the surface.
So option (2) is right.
