A solid sphere of mass 2kg is resting inside a cube as shown in the figure. The cube is moving with a velocity \large \vec v = (5t\hat i + 2t\hat j)m{s^{ - 1}}. Here t is time in seconds. All surfaces are smooth. The sphere is at rest with respect to the cube. What is the total force exerted by the sphere on the cube?

a_x=\frac {d}{dt}(5t)=5m/s^2, a_y=\frac {d}{dt}(2t)=2m/s^2
Fx = max = 10N
Fy = mg + may = 20 + 4 = 24N
F=\sqrt {24^2+10^2}=\sqrt {576+100}=\sqrt {676}=26N
