$\begin{array}{l} h = Ut - \frac{1}{2} {gt}^{2} \\ 60 = 40 t - \frac{1}{2} 10 t^{2} \end{array}$
t² - 8t +12 = 0 t = 6 sec and t = 2 sec.
time interval = 6 - 2 = 4 sec.
