A stone tied to a rope is rotated in a vertical circle  with uniform speed. If the difference between the maximum and minimum tensions in the rope is 20 N, mass of the stone (in kg) is (Take, 9 = 10 ms-2)   [EAMCET 2013]

We know that, the difference between the maximum and minimum tensions in the rope,

Tmax-Tmin=2mg

Here,    Tmax-Tmin=20

Now, mass of the stone,  m=202g=202×10=1 kg
