Let P be the smaller force and Q be the greater force, then according to the $$problemP+Q=18$$                                              ..................(i) $$P2+R2$$ $$=Q2$$⇒$$R2$$ $$=Q2-P2$$⇒$$122=Q-PQ+P$$⇒$$144=Q-P18$$⇒$$Q-P=8----(2)from$$ (1) & (2) we get $$Q+P=18Q-P=8_______2Q=26______Q=13$$ substitute in (1) we get $$P=5$$
