If the 5 kg block does not slip on 3 kg block , acceleration of the system , a=F1−F210=2m/s2In this case pseudo force on the 5 kg block = 5×2 N = 10 N which is greater than maximum frictional force fmax=0.1×5×10 N =5 N .Therefore 5 kg block will slip on 3 kg block .So acceleration of 3 kg and 2 kg blocks = 30 - 10-53+2 m/s2 = 3 m/s2∴contact force = 10 + 3 × 2 = 16 N.
