Solution

RMS velocity of three gas molecules, $v_{R M S} = \sqrt{\frac{{0.3}^{2} + {0.6}^{2} + {1.5}^{2}}{3}} = 0.95 m s^{- 1}$
Average velocity, $v_{A V G} = \frac{0.3 + 0.6 + 1.5}{3} = 0.8 m s^{- 1}$ .
