Solution

$I_{C} = \frac{0 .5}{800} A = \frac{5}{8} mA β = \frac{α}{1 - α} = 24 Now \frac{I_{C}}{I_{B}} = β \Rightarrow I_{B} = \frac{5}{8} \times \frac{1}{24} mA = 26 μA$
