Solution

$i_{c} R_{L} = 0.5$
$i_{c} = \frac{0.5}{800} = \frac{1}{1600}$
$α = 0.96$
$β = \frac{α}{1 - α} = \frac{0.96}{0.04} = 24$
$β = \frac{I_{c}}{I_{B}}$
$24 = \frac{I_{c}}{I_{B}}$
$I_{B} = \frac{I_{c}}{24}$
$= \frac{1}{1600 \times 24} ≃ 26 μ A$
