Solution

For maximum sound, the path difference $Δ$ Should be equal to $λ = v / n$ = v/
path difference x $Δx = \frac{V}{n} or V = nΔ x$
From figure
. $Δx = (πr - 2 r) = (3 \cdot 14 \times 1 - 2 \times 1) = 1 \cdot 14$
so $V = 250 \times 1 \cdot 14 = 285 m / s$
