Solution

Let equations of two SHMs.
$x = A \sin (ωt + ϕ) and y = A \sin (ωt + ϕ + \frac{π}{2}) = A \cos (ωt + ϕ)$
Therefore, $x^{2} + y^{2} = A^{2} \Rightarrow Circle$
