Solution

h = 150 - 27.5 = 122.5 m
$∴ t = \sqrt{\frac{2 \times 122 .5}{9 .8}} = 5 \sec Hence, u = \frac{R}{t} = \frac{30}{5} = 6 {ms}^{- 1} .$
