Solution

If $λ$ be the mass per unit length of the chain, then $λ x g = μ \times λ (l - x) . g$
$\Rightarrow x = \frac{μ l}{1 + μ} = \frac{0.6 \times 2}{1 + 0.6} = \frac{1.2}{1.6} m = \frac{3}{4} m = 0.75 m$
