Solution

Torque exerted on the disc $τ$ = TR
Now $τ = Iα$
or $α = \frac{τ}{i} = \frac{TR}{\frac{1}{2} {MR}^{2}} = \frac{2 TR}{{MR}^{2}} = \frac{2 T}{MR}$
