A vector having magnitude 30 unit makes equal angles with each of X, Y and Z-axes. The components of vector along each of X, Y and Z-axes are

Solution

We have $A_{x} = A_{y} = A_{z}$
Resultant, $A = \sqrt{A_{x}^{2} + A_{y}^{2} + A_{z}^{2}}$
$= \sqrt{3} A_{x}$
$∴ A_{x} = \frac{A}{\sqrt{3}} = \frac{30}{\sqrt{3}} = 10 \sqrt{3} unit$
