In a gas,
$V = \sqrt{\frac{γRT}{M}} \Rightarrow V \propto \sqrt{T}$
$\Rightarrow \frac{V}{2 V} = \sqrt{\frac{300}{T}} \Rightarrow T = 1200 K$
$∴ T = 927^{0} C$
