Solution

Power generated by the turbine is,
$P_{generated} = P_{input} \times \frac{90}{100}$
$= \frac{Mgh}{t} \times \frac{90}{100}$
Putting the given values
$\frac{M}{t} = 15 kg / s, g = 10 m / s^{2}, h = 60 m$
$P_{generated} = (15 \times 10 \times 60) \times \frac{90}{100}$
= 8.1 kW
