Power = Kinetic energy of water flowing per second
= $\frac{1}{2} \times area of cross - section \times density \times {(velocity)}^{3}$
= $\frac{1}{2} \times 50 \times 5 \times 1000 \times 2^{3} W = 10^{6} W = 1 MW$
