Solution

Here, $γ_{r} = γ_{a g} + 3 α_{g} = γ_{a c} + 3 α_{c}$
$\Rightarrow 1.03 \times 10^{- 3} + 3 α_{g} = 1.006 \times 10^{- 3} + 3 \times (17 \times 10^{- 6})$
$\Rightarrow α_{g} = 9 \times 10^{- 6} / {}^{\circ}C$
