For the process i - a - f, Q = +50 J, W = +20 J.
Now by 1st law of thermodynamics, Q = ΔU + W.
⇒(U_f - U_i) = +30 J
For the return path f_i,
W = -13 J, U_i - U_f = -30J
By 1st law of thermodynamics.
Q = (U_i - U_f) + W = -30 + (-13)
⇒Q = -43 J.
