Solution

If two vectors A and B are given then range of their resultant can be written as (A - B) $\leq$ R $\leq$ (A + B).
i.e., $R_{max} = A + B and R_{min} = A - B$
If B = 1 and A = 4 then their resultant will lies in between 3 N and 5 N. It can never be 2 N.
