Change in width of slit has no effect on fringe width initially fringe width, $β = \frac{λ D}{d}$ when the arrangement is immersed in water, $β^{1} = \frac{λ^{1} D}{d} = \frac{(λ / μ) D}{d} = \frac{3}{4} \frac{λ_{0}}{d}$
$∴ \frac{β - β^{1}}{β} \times 100 % = (1 - \frac{β^{1}}{β}) \times 100 % = (1 - \frac{3}{4}) \times 100 % = 25 %$
