Catecholamines
Catecholamines cause breakdown of fats (lipolysis), proteins (proteolysis), and glycogen (glycogenolysis).
These hormones increase alertness, sweating, piloerection, heart rate, strength of heart contraction and the rate of respiration.
Both Epinephrine and nor-epinephrine are called catecholamines.
