Ozone layer is a deep layer in earth's atmosphere that contains ozone which is a naturally occurring molecule containing three oxygen atoms. Ozone layer absorbs most of the ultraviolet radiation reaching the earth from the sun. Depletion of ozone layer is the destruction of the upper atmospheric layer of ozone gas, caused by substances formed from breakdown of ozone depleting substances.
