Osteoporosis is a systemic skeletal disorder characterized by low bone mass, micro-architectural deterioration of bone tissue leading to bone fragility, and consequent increase in fracture risk.
The pelvic girdle is made of 2 coxal bones. Each coxal bone is a fusion of 3 bones - ilium, ischium and pubis.
Vertebral column has 33 bones that are arranged as 26 serially arranged units called vertebrae and is dorsally placed.
