Populations
Question

If a population grows in a habitat with limited resources, then following phases of achievement observed.

Easy
Solution

The growth of the population depends upon the availability of resources. If the resources are unlimited, the population will exhibit exponential growth. However, if the resources are limited there is a competition between the individuals for resources. In a certain habitat, there are only enough resources that can accommodate only the maximum number possible, if the population increases beyond that there will be no growth. Stages of lag phase followed by acceleration-deceleration and lastly the phase of the asymptote are seen in the population who lives with limited resources.
