Notochord is
The notochord is a mesodermal rod-like structure formed on the dorsal side during embryonic development in chordates.
In Branchiostoma, the notochord extends from head to tail region.
In cyclostomes (e.g., Petromyzon), the cranium and the vertebral column are cartilaginous.
Balanoglossus (Hemichordata) has stomochord (buccal diverticulum) but not notochord.
