Select the correct statement about the larynx.
The larynx is a cartilaginous box. It contains the vocal cords and helps in sound production. It is present at the junction of the pharynx and the trachea. It opens into the pharynx through the glottis. During swallowing glottis can be covered by a thin elastic cartilaginous flap called epiglottis to prevent the entry of food into the larynx.
