Detailed Solution

Premolars are not present in milk dentition. The premolar teeth are transitional teeth located between the canine and molar teeth. In humans, there are two premolars per quadrant in the permanent set of teeth, making eight premolars total in the mouth. Milk dentition (also called deciduous teeth or temporary teeth) is the first set of teeth in humans and other diphyodont mammals. They develop during the embryonic stage of development. They are usually lost and replaced by permanent teeth, but in the absence of permanent replacements, they can remain functional for many years.
